I can get the info of total RAM by lsattr -EL mem0 or using vmo -A, but I want to know how total RAM is installed ie. all in one bank or on several banks? the box currently have 4G mem. we tend to add more, but could not decide how much is needed and how to add.
We checked the one 8G mem chip and it costs close to $US 7K (here is Mexico) Anyone knows where we can get cheaper reseller.

Each of these sections lists something called a "Physical Location". I believe you should be able to look these up in the service manual to figure out where the DIMM's are installed.
