    I am a rank beginner at this and i'm hoping someone can point me towards the right path. The total YTD hours for October is being broken down by month in my view instead of being grouped in one row. 

    This is how the Total YTD is being calculated :  if ([Period]<= ?pPeriod?) then ([Hours]) else (0)

    Total PTD  if ([PeriodT]= ?pPeriod?) then ([Hours]) else (0)

    Detail Filter :caption([Year])= ?pYears?

    I want the total PTD and YTD hours in one row.

    Employee PTD YTDHours
    Smith, Rob                                  144.50
    Smith, Rob                                    96.50
    Smith, Rob                                  106.50
    Smith, Rob                                  112.50
    Smith, Rob                                  148.00
    Smith, Rob                                  122.00
    Smith, Rob                                  169.50

    Desired
    Employee PTD YTDHours

    Please have a look at the aggregation for PTD, it should probably be total
