    00c9 is the code for "dump in progress".

    Please debug your dump with kdb command or open a PMR for that.

    Do you have the df output before the server hanged. was the cd mounted while you are performing rmdev ? even if yes, it should through the error, instead of abrupt hang.

    Is there any error's on the errpt on this machine after the reboot ?
