My HMC version is the last....
I proceed to firmware upgrade to the last version to my p5 systems....i tried to open it via browsers using different java versions......nothing same state.

Opinions?

Couple of things to check:

1. Have you installed all of the fixpacks?

2. Can you ssh (use putty from a windows machine or ssh from another linux/aix box) onto the HMC and then run the vtmenu command (need to be hscroot or another suitable user). You should then be able to open a command line console. Does this work?

If neither of the above work then it would be a support call to IBM I would suggest.

The problem is the same whether I use the web interface of the HMC or if I ssh to the HMC and use vtmenu.

The virtual terminal opens, I get the message "open in progress", followed by "Open Completed", and then get no further output and it doesn't take any of my input.

I recently upgraded to firmware SF240_358, but I don't know if the problem was happening before the firmware update or not.
