  • 1.  HMC Filesystem /var we'll soon reach the limit

    On vHMC x86 V10R3 M1062, the /var filesystem is at 94%.

    chhmcfs has no effect on this filesystem (e.g., chhmcfs -o f -h 24 -f /var).

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    For pesh access, you'll need to raise a call to IBM to get the password.

    We've recently had this issue at my company and needed calls to IBM to resolve.  We also have <<most>> of our HMCs setup to dialhome thus the case had automatically been raised for the issue.

    We want to analyze why chhmcfs has no effect on your file system. Please collect pedbg logs by running command 'pedbg -c -q 4' as hscpe user and open a ticket.
