  • 1.  HMC clean log files

    Is it (in any way) possible to clean the log files on the HMC without the IBM privileged root password?
    When I make a backup, it's taking about 2 hours to backup to local DVD (I know it is faster to backup to FTP/NFS), but I don't prefer it.

    When I take a look at the filesizes, I see my cimLogs-directory is about 1GB!
    The total image is about 2,84Gigs, so those log-directory is about 1/3 of the total image.

    Is there any possibility to clean this (unnecessary) log files regularly?

    (folder: /var/hsc/log/cimLogs)
