  • 1.  Historic Data in Editable Tables

    Hey All,

Trying to make the dive into utilizing editable tables, and any use case i have requires the tables maintain values in prior periods. However, when i edit a value in a table it changes that value in all periods. Does anyone know a way to retain past info so it is not overridden but also allow to use the editable table?

    Travis,

There is the show changes options that in the editable table that will show you for each record.  It shows: who made the change, date and original values of each column for that record.  You will miss out on rows that are deleted.

You could have a table that's source is the editable table and create version each month that way.  However this would be just for reference as the base editable would still lose prior data.

What's the use case you are trying for with an editable table?

    Have a good day,

    Jeffrey

If you want to have the editable table values published monthly, you can do so in a new table:

    1. Create a new table. For the Source choose “Editable Table” and select the editable table you made from the drop down.
    2. You can check out this new table monthly and select “Upload this period” as each period passes.
