    I am trying to implement the ZosmfExternal Plugin sample that is found on github at:

    IBM-Z-zOS/zOSMF/ExternalPluginExample-TSOBackend at main · IBM/IBM-Z-zOS

    The plugin (VarViewer) has been successfully installed and appears on the Z/OS Management Facility main page. When I launch the plugin, it appears in its popup window as expected, but the contents is unreadable. I'm guessing this is probably some sort of character set/encoding/translation problem, but I can't seem to find an explanation of what I'm doing wrong.

    I've attached a screenshot showing the popup window, and another showing the HTML source which shows the character set specification. 

    If anybody has any experience with this plugin (or others) and might have some insight into what is happening I would really appreciate your help.
