  • 1.  Help with 'RACF' error

    Hello All, 

    I am having an interesting time trying to diagnose an ICH408i message we are getting for an application in the PROCESS class.  The error is:

    ICH408I USER(GNZUSERD) GROUP(STARTASK) NAME(STARTED TASK GNZUSER)

      CL(PROCESS )

     INSUFFICIENT AUTHORITY TO SPAWNUSERID

      EFFECTIVE UID(0000001001)  EFFECTIVE GID(0000003111)
    The documentation I have read states to issue the spawn command it needs BPX.DAEMON access (it has) and READ access to profile(s) BPX.SRV.**  in the SURROGAT class (it has this also) The users issuing the prompts have TSO and OMVS statements.  
    I do not believe that we need to activate the PROCESS class for this task as no other task is suffering this problem.  

    Does anyone have any ideas to where else I can look?
