  • 1.  Having WAS6.1 with WAS7.0 Developer on the same machine

    I am not able to uninstall the WAS6.1 developer from my machine using the uninstall.exe or from the Windows Contol Panel uninstall programs. So I am thinking of installing WAS7.0 developer on the same machine. I have set the Windows Service to start WAS6.1 on manual mode only, so it will not start by itself. Also I dont think of any reason to use WAS6.1 in future.

    This may not be the best way to do this, but I have no other options and dont want to delete the directory. Any issues that your might think of this setup or any suggestions is appreciated.

    Hi Sansun,

      What problem are you having? some log? do you have try manual uninstallation?
     
      Manually uninstalling on a Windows system
      pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/wasinfo/v6r1/...
     
      If you install 7.0 in the same machine the only think that can happen is that in WAS 7.0 the ports will be the next ones to WAS 6.1
