  • 1.  Guardium STAP is not listed in STAP Control and STAP Status view.

    Hi,

    I installed the S-TAP Agent on Windows Server using GIM from GUI. I see, it's installed in Setup by client page, but it's not listed in S-TAP CONTROL and S-TAP Status Views.  Sniffering is not working as well.

    IBM Guardium Collector (11.490), S-TAP Agent 11.4/11.5.

    Hi,

    Is the Windows S-TAP up and running? Is it connecting to the target collector? Do you see any error in Stap.ctl?
    You may run Win S-TAP must gather (diag.bat) and read summary.txt to check the connectivity to the collector and check if all the services are up and running, etc...

    If you open a support ticket and send Win S-TAP must gather (diag.bat output), the assigned engineer will review the logs and suggest the next action.

    Hi, 

    Wait for 24 hours, check it on the STAP control page. If it's not reflected, try to install it again.

    Hi Igore,

    Have you installed GIM on CM or same collector as STAP?

    You need to check for open ports between db server and collector.

    Ports can be blocked on Firewall and/or windows db server.

    In case you have Central Manager, make sure ports between CM and collector is allowed on Firewall.
