  • 1.  Guardium restore archive failed, v12, "File not found"

    Hi, working with customer, trying to restore archive as a test. We have rebuild a new appliance, imported config from appliance that created the archive (mostly due to having same reports, groups, ...) and patched it to same patch level.

    Several issues here - first by default no catalog, only config, we stil had to export/import catalog. Second, once catalog was imported, it only let's us try and restore files older than two months (original device has 2 months of data retention in data archive) , which makes no sense, since this new device is empty. Doesn't help to reprogram data archive to only keep one day of data, and then pressing "run once now" to try and archive/purge.

    Even tho, since we're only testing we went and tried importing older data. Data restore process has no issues with fetching files according to logs, but it copies them to .../Guardium/data/dump/TURBINE/tmp/ , but then error we get is "file not found in .../Guardium/data/dump/TURBINE

    This feels weird, and it feels like the .../TURBINE/tmp/ folder for upload is a problem in restore procecss.

    in the aggregation/archive log it says it copied to .../Guardium/data/dump/TURBINE/, can't find in /Guardium/data/dump/TURBINE, but in scp_fromlog.log on file fileserver it mentions copying to /Guardium/data/dump/TURBINE/tmp 

    Anyone can confirm this works on v12? Don't currently have access to my lab. I didn't find patch to fix this, perhaps I am looking wrong, Customer is at v12.0 patch bundle p15, p7015

    Hi Dario,

    I got the issue fixed, it was due to file permission issue and once I changed the files permission the process starts working fine.
