Do we have any built In service to modify the value of the global variable which is already created?

Is it possible to create a global variable from the designer in place of creating from IS admin?

There are services underlying in WmRoot which can handle Global Variable but I suggest using IS for managing the Global Variables. Do you have any specific use-case to do the same from the service?

I have got. I was thinking to save some intermediate result in a global variable rather than saving in a file or DB.
