  • 1.  Git custom grammar and IBM Mainframe Languages?

    Posted 12 hours ago

as my journey with the "new" world of Git and Cloud in the Mainframe world goes on, it brings me nowadays to the part to enable Git for our Mainframe Developers.

For that reason i'm now on a dead end as i'm looking for grammar to increase the readability in Git.

The built in grammar for PL1 and Cobol looks ok, but with Assembler and Db2 ddl it can be better. Does IBM provides some kind of an official grammar for Git or is there a community sample which i havent found yet?

My final enemy in this regards seems to be JCL. Can it be that nothing, really nothing exists?

Check out the following VS Code extensions:

    IBM Z Open Editor
IBM Db2 for z/OS Developer Extension

Broadcom's Code4z includes Rexx, JCL, etc.
