Hi Michael,
Thank you for your reply. I'll take a look at the documentation I found and begin by installing it on one of my LPARs. I love the idea of being able to convert existing entries over from the old job scheduler. I also like the idea of being able to run both. That will help in the transitioning of jobs from the old job scheduler to the advanced one.
Thank you!

The latest release of 5770JS1 Advanced Job Scheduler is V7R2, so any documentation would have that designation on it. You can run both, we did for a while, but the flexibility and logging of the AJS is so much better I don't think you'll regret switching. There is also an option in AJS to convert individual entries from the old scheduler to the new one. on the System Controls menu.

Now that the AJS is free I'd like to look into this product. I've been looking for some "getting started" information and the majority of what I'm seeing is 6 years old or it mentions IBM i 7.2. Is that a good place to start? I'm curious, does this completely replace the standard job scheduler or can you run both at the same time? I thought about installing it on one LPAR and play with it to see how it works.
