can we format header of table added to report. I see there are three options namely Shaded, Transparent and None. Is there any other way to format table header other than these 3 options.

Yes, those are the only options specifically for headers, but you can also Group columns and give a grouping name. 

If you need anything other than these functionalities, please feel free to open a support ticket and they can follow that with an RFE with engineering.
