    Hi All,

    We have been trying to get cognos users a very different prompting experience on the cognos reports and dashboards, user should have flexibility and have more effective prompting UI. Currently filterring data using prompts is not available for Cognos Dashboards, only we can add prompts to Cognos reports.

    Certainly, we face challenges working with larger datasets and to define prompting more then10 columns to filter data, it is cumbersome to manage and define each column to accommodate complex & flexible condition while doing prompt based data filtering on the relational large dataset.

    At Veracitiz, we built a unique concept and utility as FlexiPrompts in order to enhance the prompting and filtering experience on Cognos Dashboards as well as Reports. here is a link which demonstrates unique and flexibility of the feature.

    Thank you for appreciating, your inputs matter to us lot.

    yes you are right that, we all want the Cognos to get the new edge over other BI took this feature is not there in any leading BI platforms like PowerBI, Tableau and Qlick. Team is working on enhancing the capabilities further and would come up with FlexiPrompt1.0 soon for all to consume.

    this extension looks very appealing to me and will fit well into the system of many CA users. Any info on how you are going to propagate this extension and on what basis? Free version vs. paid form?

    Hi Robert,

    Thank you for the inputs,

    Yes team is working on making a proper steps to configure the feature since it is having certain configurations steps with SQL, DataModule, JavaScripts extensions. So it would be free to use but for any specific custom configuration we might have to add paid services, which can be discussed.

    We would post the same once done fully with defined steps.

    One extension used in the solution is posted on the Accelorator catalog which you can refer for Excel like filtering on the list outputs,
