I did this firmware update as well and it was concurrent. However, there
is a deferred update at 161 and I don't like leaving those around so I
planned for a re-ipl(power off and on) anyway.

Apparently I don't have any lpars on the 41B who actively support more than 1 or 2 5250 users.

I used to do firmware updates listed as concurrent, concurrently. Until I got burned (on a previous level). I have a 9105-41B and a 9105-42A. Both support multiple lpars of IBM i, VIOS. One also supports AIX. SAN disk on both. Both were at the same level. I upgraded one concurrently with no problems that I noticed. Then I upgraded the other. Lost a few hundred 5250 users. It was pointed out to me that I must have something wrong in my ethernet redundancy on my setup. Perhaps so. But the march of pitchforks and torches was impressive.

Subject: Firmware Upgrade from VL950_124 to VL950_168
I am planning to update firmware from VL950_124 to VL950_168 (950.C1) to apply the fix vulnerability CVE-2024-45656 .
As per the documentation, I am assuming that this update will be concurrent and doesn't require any downtime.
Could anyone please confirm, if the update is actually concurrent and there won't be any need to take downtime?
Will be doing the update on 9009-41G systems which are HMC Managed.
