The only suggestion I have is to upgrade to CPD 4.5 where there is a new view, the Explore view, where you can browse through databases, schemas, and available tables in a connected data source. In the Explore view, you cannot search for tables, but you can drill down to find tables quicker.
For now, you can filter by:
- Using wildcard characters if possible - This works only for desired sets of schemas or tables that have one or more substrings in common that also adequately exclude other unwanted results. This is a single condition.
- Updating the filter for all groups of tables you want to browse for virtualization. This is also only a single condition.

Hi Trish,
Thanks for your reply!
Do you have any suggestions if our customer wants to filter data sources to improve loading efficacy but has a different table name rule?
Best regards,
Sean

Hi Chun,
No, you cannot filter multiple conditions at the same time currently.
You can use the % or _ fields to find schemas or filter tables based on a single condition. You can use %ab% to denote wildcard + ab + wildcard. However, you can't specify "a" or "b".

Hi, Teams,
Our customers need to filter multiple conditions on data virtualization sources.
But we tried a wildcard approach like {a, b} is not working.
Can we filter multiple conditions in the same field (like a table)? I didn't see any of this information on the documents, thanks!
