    Hi all

    I am working with a customer who has a massive 400Tb in one Centera device with approx 6billion objects.

    They are planning to replicate content from Centera > ECS/OCS using some tooling from Reciprocal group

    Can anyone here comment on any similar migration especially around timescales either with/without using Reciprocal?

    Hi Mick,

    I can't speak to your scenario exactly, but we're on the tail end of an ECS (acting as a Centera) > Dell PowerScale migration. Using native tooling (ACCE sweep jobs), we estimated it would have taken us at least a year (or two) to move all 257 million pieces of content. We contracted with IBM lab services to have them perform the migration using their tooling and it's taken just over 3 months to complete. Custom tooling can make a huge difference in these moves.
