Hi Kalyan,
Federated repositories
http://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSAW57_8.5.5/com.ibm.websphere.nd.doc/ae/cwim_fedrepos.html
Federated repositories enable you to use multiple repositories with WebSphere® Application Server. These repositories, which can be file-based repositories, LDAP repositories, or a sub-tree of an LDAP repository, are defined and theoretically combined under a single realm. All of the user repositories that are configured under the federated repository functionality are invisible to WebSphere Application Server.

Hello,
Kindly clear me that from V8 or V8.5, WebSphere Infrastructure is supporting only Federated repository, earlier the single depcreated LDAP integration is not supported?
Hello Deepak, I have hear the same, but looking at Knowledge Center (8.0 and 8.5) seems that Standalone LDAP continue being valid (or they have done a copy-paste :-). Selecting a registry or repository http://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSAW57_8.0.0/com.ibm.websphere.nd.doc/info/ae/ae/tsec_useregistry.html?pos=2
WebSphere Application Server supports the following types of user registries: Federated repository Local operating system Restriction: Configuring a transparent LDAP server under the local operating system registry and having authentication of users take place through that local operating system using LDAP is unsupported. Standalone Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) registry Stand-alone custom registry

If we review release notes of both versions they have not notified that "Standalone LDAP" is deprecated Transitioning notes for security topics http://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSAW57_8.0.0/com.ibm.websphere.nd.doc/info/ae/ae/welc_trnssecurity.html Transitioning notes for security topics http://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSAW57_8.5.5/com.ibm.websphere.nd.doc/ae/welc_trnssecurity.html I have attached two images from WAS 8.0 and 8.5 where you can see that Standalone LDAP is available. I suggest to open a PMR to confirm. Hope this helps. tell us if you need more support Regards
