I attempted an LPM operation after defining the FCS adapters connected to the tape. In the HMC, I selected "NPIV validation is port under storage" and also enabled the option "Proceed with migration when the source storage adapter data is stale" both under the Edit Configuration Settings section.

With these settings, all validations passed successfully without any errors.

Later, I removed the NPIV validation (port) option but kept the "Proceed with migration when the source storage adapter data is stale" option enabled. After that, I encountered the following errors during validation:

• HSCLA319 – The partition's virtual Fibre Channel client adapter 8 cannot be hosted by the existing Virtual I/O Servers (VIOSs) on the destination managed system. Set up the necessary VIOS host on the destination managed system, then try this operation again.
• HSCLA319 – The partition's virtual Fibre Channel client adapter 7 cannot be hosted by the existing Virtual I/O Servers (VIOSs) on the destination managed system. Set up the necessary VIOS host on the destination managed system, then try this operation again.

Could you please confirm whether performing the LPM with both options - NPIV validation (port) and "Proceed with migration when the source storage adapter data is stale" - would cause any issues after the migration completes? Specifically, I want to ensure there won't be any problems related to ports or adapters post-migration.

Also, please confirm: to select the option "Proceed with migration when the source storage adapter data is stale," do I need to define the FC adapters first, or can I select it without defining them? Will it cause any issues if I select this option without defining the FC adapters? Please guide me.
