Expiration of self-signed certificates for https IBM b-type SAN switch

  • 1.  Expiration of self-signed certificates for https IBM b-type SAN switch

    Posted Wed March 19, 2025 04:22 AM

    Hi,

On b-type switches, we can check there are certificate files installed or not, with FOS command (seccertmgmt show -all).
Recent b-type switches seem to have the certificate for https as factory default.
    I have two questions:

Q1. How many years are set for the expiration as factory default?
Q2. If the customers do not use FOS GUI, they can delete the https certificate.  Right?

    Best regards, Eiichiro

    Hi,

default expiration period is 2 years

deleting the certificate is not recommend, it may change switch status to Marginal.
