  • 1.  Executing DBRW formula in PAX against Alias returning #Values

    Hi,

    We have some strange issue when users are experiencing with PAX. When DBRW formula is referencing any element with Alias on, it is returning #Values for the data cells.  To fix it, I had to refresh the metadata again and ask users to disconnect from PAX, close excel and connect with a new excel window. It keeps happening frequently. If DBRW is referencing element with no alias, the cell is showing data.  

    Version: PA 2.0.9.2 

    OS: windows server 2016 

    PAX version: 55

    Please let me know your ideas for the fix.

    PAX version: 55? First idea is to upgrade to something far newer.

    We had this previously too which was very annoying and the client went the route of always driving the report off the principal name and then using a DBRW to show the alias. The principal name was hidden.

    The other thing to try is Alt+Shift+F9 to trigger a master data refresh, then rebuilding/refreshing.
