    Nothing actually changed; there were some events waiting to be kicked off that sent emails, and for some reason there was some sort of deadlock.

    also, the launcher log file should tell you if you have card count sync problems and that type of thing. When we've had this problem it's typically because the maps tied to the deployed msl don't match the mmc files that are deployed in the path.
