    I have since discovered that the event server is still running the renamed version and not the real .exe. Does anyone know why?

We run on AIX, and once the event server is running, you can change any .exes or maps all you want, but any updated version will not take effect until you stop & restart the event server. When you start the ES, it runs all the exes, reads the config files, etc. and has the info stored so it doesn't have to read it again. At least that's how it is on AIX. Any change made won't go into effect until the stop & restart of the ES, when it again runs the exes, reads config, etc.

    I've found the cause. It's from mercnt.exe which is called by the RUN function but a search of the files for the patch number didn't identify it.
