What are some of the key differences between EDA and SOA? Can both of the architectures co-exist (be leveraged) while building systems? What are the strengths of each? All possible comments will be appreciated.

Those were pretty good threads. Thanks for directing me to those specific ones. In the EAI context, when an application can invoke a flow service directly through the http invoke (which does some pre-processing and publishes a document to Broker) with the request data, what is the justification for it to consume the same flow service as a web service? What is the value add? What does a web service bring to the table in this context?
