Educating the customer on model logic and rules and creating custom reports.

I began working on this project in September 2021, and I knew straight away that Apptio would be the best option for the customer in terms of tracking multiple spending parameters.

My team and I made Apptio data upload, algorithms, tables, and reports completely distinctive. This not only increased our productivity and data accuracy, but it also improved our users' perceptions of TBMO's work and Apptio software.

Initially, I mistook the Apptio system for nothing more than a tool to input data and generate ready-to-use reports, but then I discovered that Apptio is a more robust reporting tool than I originally imagined after attending Apptio University and talking with Apptio Consultants and Internal IT professionals.

As additional users were added, we have many users from IT and Finance, each with their own set of data requirements.

So as the clients asked for some custom reports, we personalized it and we made our customers happy, as well as allowing for a more comprehensive view and analysis of spend than Apptio's conventional spend dimensions. Using specific metrics and targeted KPIs,

we answered the most strategic investment questions and accelerate budgeting and forecasting processes. Also, by introducing some custom reports, we educed effort for periodic financial analysis.

You may find an overview of my approach in the attached presentation, which shows my implementation stages for creating the simulation of depreciation expenses report. In addition, the presentation includes my findings and lessons learned after applying the Apptio report in our organization. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions concerning my case study!

Good summary on case study. Thank you posting this. I enjoyed reading this.
It seems newly created custom reports are more focused on cost components (bar graphs and pie charts). I would imagine your team would need to analyze cost trends in the future (MoM, QoQ, YoY).
