Hi All,

I have been developing custom applications for QRadar for a little while now and have never ran into this issue. I assume the timeout is due to the size of this application (100Mb zipped), but I don't face this issue with another application that is about 65Mb zipped. I also see that there are apps on the X-Force exchange much larger than 100Mb, so I am wondering why this is happening. I tried with 2 different base images as well. Here is the full error message:

An error occurred while installing application: SoftTimeLimitExceeded()

Anyone know what might be causing this? Thank you.

My understanding of this error is that it will occur when a certain task has exceeded a certain limit. 
Though without full logs we could not be certain if it is simply down to the size of the application or a different task. 

We have seen issues where the Install of a large extension zip sometimes can fail due to upload timeouts in the asisstant app.
This was happening mostly due to slow network connectivity. 
Would it be possible to put the extension somewhere local and install from there. 
Though if it is a timeout issue the next version of the assistant app is due to have a fix for this. Though there is no timeframe yet for its release.
