       Hello,

you should probably install patch 12.0p229 or 12.0p230 before installing the GIM and S-TAP 12.xp101 modules ... see https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/7278988

    Hi Alexandre,

The error appears to occur during the import of the module metadata rather than the upload itself. Since both the GIM and STAP packages are from Fix Central, I'd first verify that the package versions are compatible with your current Guardium appliance version. A mismatch between the appliance release and the module version can sometimes cause parameter parsing errors during the import process.

I'd also recommend checking the integrity of the downloaded packages (for example, by verifying the checksum if one is provided on Fix Central) and trying a fresh download in case the archive was corrupted.

If everything looks correct, review the Guardium upload/import logs for a more detailed exception. The message "For input string: 'x'" suggests that the importer encountered an unexpected value while inserting module parameters, which could indicate a malformed package or a product defect.

If the issue is reproducible with freshly downloaded packages, I'd open an IBM Support case and provide the upload logs, appliance version, GIM/STAP package versions, and the exact Fix Central package names. That will help IBM determine whether this is a known issue or an APAR candidate.

    Could you also share:
    • Your Guardium version and fix pack level (e.g., 12.0.x)?
    • Whether you're importing from the GUI or CLI?
    • Does the issue occur with both the GIM and STAP packages individually?
