Hello expert,

We have a problem with one of our partners. We can send EDI messages to him and we can get the MDN.

But when he try to send EDI messages to us , some of the messages succeed, some of them fail,and the partner get the same error:

java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out

We have checked :
1.Both IP addresses are added to each other’s firewall whitelist
2.We both run traceroute to confirm that there is no issue.
3.We use the webMethods9.12 and install fix IS_9.12_Core_Fix6

Any ideas? Thanks a lot in advance.

Are the files very big ?
Check the transaction log to see if any part of the request was received and if any error message was associated.
You might need to experiment with the following extended settings ?

watt.net.client.SSLSessionTimeout
watt.net.timeout
