Have used my data file and correlations in SPSS 27 without incident before, but this time I get this error message without explanation. The only other input is "not found in C:\PROGRA~1\IBM\SPSS\STATIS~1\27\lang\en\datasrc.err" which suggests that the program is not referring to the open data file, but rather seeking data in the SPSS programming, which seems really odd. How do I solve this problem?

That probably indicates that an error message was not found. It might have to do with unrecognized characters in a data file, but to get any further, we need to know what you were doing when this happened.

I was simply running Pearson's correlations through the UI, nothing more. I've never seen this result when doing so with these or other data before using SPSS 27, and I've been able (since this error message) to run those correlations using JASP instead. So it's a puzzle as to why it didn't work this time.
