  • 1.  Equivalent Serial Access to DataPower on VMWare

    HI All,

    We are migrating to  new DataPower on VMWare appliances, and we are  planning on using the Secure Backup/Secure restore process. What is the equivalent capability in DataPower on VMWare to access the console to enable us to change the ipaddresses after the secure restore? Is it the DataPower console access in the VCenter UI?

    From what form factor are you migrating?  

    You access the console through VCenter (assuming this is what you are using to manage the VMs)

    Are you asking how to access the Datapower CLI from the vmware console?  Once you are logged in to the vmware you can enter telnet 127.0.0.1 2200 and this will prompt you for the datapower admin id and password.  You can then enter config and change any IP's on the interfaces or set the web-mgmt console to an IP address.
