As a TBM consultant, I was brought in to assist an energy firm in improving the performance of its TBM program. One of the main challenges faced by the firm was a lack of understanding and engagement from business stakeholders, leading to frequent questions about the program's effectiveness.
To address this challenge, I developed and executed a comprehensive TBM communications plan which included regular updates, training sessions, and dedicated Q&A sessions for business stakeholders.
Additionally, I assisted in the creation of reports and dashboards that effectively communicated the value and impact of the program to business stakeholders.
I successfully increased their understanding and engagement with the TBM program through regular and structured communication with business stakeholders. This approach resulted in a 30% increase in program adoption and a 15% increase in cost savings because of better alignment with business objectives.
In conclusion, the project successfully communicated the value of adopting a TBM program to stakeholders within the energy firm. The demonstration of potential cost savings and improvements in budgeting and forecasting through the training sessions led to an increased awareness and understanding of the benefits of a TBM program among stakeholders. As a result, the energy firm decided to adopt Apptio which will help the firm continue to drive cost savings and efficiencies through implementing TBM best practices.
