I’m still looking for an answer on the 2nd part of the question. Does TN
recognize blocked files or do I have to preprocess the files before they get
to TN to put each segment on a separate line.

If you are familiar with GENTRAN Server on UNIX it had an EDIFRMT utility
that did this. Do I need to duplicate this functionality prior to sending
    the EDI files to TN.
    Thanks again.

I guess I can try to help. First, what exactly do you mean by blocked file? I’m not familiar with GENTRAN.

Have you tried submitting one of the files to TN? If so, what happened?

No you don’t need to format the EDI data.
