Have a quick question on processing EDI & EDIINT AS1/2 messages via Trading Network with Reverse Invoke Server

1. Does webMethods Reverse Invoke support EDIINT AS1 and AS2 ?
   I know RI does not support FTP. And I am quite sure that
   RI supports AS2 (HTTP/HTTPS). How about EDIINT AS1 (SMTP)

2. If we have to install PKI Certificates (for trading partner
   communication), where do I install the certifitcates (from Verisign
   or Entrust), in internal webMethods IS or the RI IS.
   I remember reading a white paper / manual that covers this. But
   can’t find it anymore. Appreciate if you can point me to the right
   documentation

3. Do I have to install Trading Network in the RI (in the DMZ layer) ?
   Or jsut plain webMethods I.S.

4. We only have 1 AIX Box in the DMZ layer for the webMethods RI.
   Given that I have to connect to both development internal webMethods
   I.S. and production internal webMethods I.S.
   In this case, can I install 2 copies of webMethods I.S. (in different
   folder) in the DMZ AIX Box and start both instances of webMethods
   with different port no. (so the development and production internal
   webMethods IS. can connect to the right RI instances)

1. The Reverse Invoke server supports only HTTP(s). The only thing it does is forwarding data received on a HTTP(s) port to an Integration Server. This also answers 3). TN is not needed on the RI server.

2. You will need to install 2 copies, and use different ports. If you use one Reverse Invoke server to connect to more than one Integration Server, it will send data to the IS in a round robin fashion. So the first available connection will be used by the RI. There’s no way to influence which data should go to production, and which data should go to development. The RI server is very lightweight, you can disable all non-essential packages to free up some memory, and the CPU load is very low.

I can’t get AS1 to work on i-soft.

AS1 does not work in an reverse invoke config.
