Do we handle HIPAA documents the same way as regular EDI documnets?
like EDI recognizer,fa generation,splitting,wrap as doc again and sending to TN for processing?

I can say its little different split and processing with EDI/HIPAA module transactions via TN and uses wMHipaa services for recognizing/validation/parsing etc…But it does uses EDIModule framework internally split (Envelope,Group,Transaction) like any other ANSI X12. please review this doc, it explains in/out and transaction process:
