Hello everyone. I recently completed IBM Data Science Professional Certification. I want to kick-start my career in data science. I saw a job post that IBM is hiring for a data scientist position. My work experience is not coming from a data science background. This is completely new for me, or should I say that not really new because I completed the 9 courses certificate including a capstone project through coursera. Any insight you can share for my job hunting is highly appreciated. Thank you very much.

Hi @Jessiedee! I believe you should keep applying for jobs and in the mean time, try doing a couple of projects from kaggle.com to equip you with real world project experience. It will improve your chances of getting selected in an interview since most of them for a Data science position consists of a case study which would to be similar to the projects you find on kaggle.
