    I have a customer looking at an application that requires the XL C/C++ runtime and XL Fortran Enterprise 12.1 runtime libraries. Do they need to buy the software, or does that come with AIX? They'll be using 6.1. I've searched a fair amount but haven't been able to confirm this one way or the other.

    Also, did IBM do away with the "Enterprise" Fortran in 12.1? "Regular" XL Fortran 12.1 seems to be an option for a new P7 server, but I don't see the Enterprise.

    Runtime libraries should be available with AIX CD or it can be downloaded from IBM website for free.

    Note that CD may contain old versions of runtime libraries. Also, there could be additional prerequisite that 12.1 runtime libraries can be installed only on top of a particular AIX TL and above.

    Please check with IBM Rational website for further information.
