DSTX 6.7.1 & Oracle 9.2 memory problems

We're seeing huge and fast memory consumption on all of the six Event Server stovepipes running on HP-UX 11i.

For example, one stovepipe normally maxes out to 350mb of memory after several days of use. Once the patch was installed, it soared to 596mb after only two hours, then hit 940mb after 4 hours.

The other stovepipes are showing massive memory consumption as well, including one system that was already on the edge of crashing. We have a memory alert on all stovepipes, and this system would generate an alert when it grew to over 800mb. This normally takes 2-3 days.

But after the patch, this system hit 943mb (just shy of a crash) in 2 hours. Following a bounce of the Event Server, it hit 950mb in under 30 minutes.

Needless to say, we immediately backed out the patch on all systems.

Since no other changes were made to any of the stovepipes except to start using the 18937 patch and Oracle 9.2 client, it seems clear that there is a memory leak problem happening.

Is anyone else using DataStage TX 6.7.1 and Oracle Client 9.2 successfully? Are there any configuration changes required to prevent this memory consumption behavior?
