Hi Thomas,
The floating IP address feature that can be used with HA RDQM is not available for DR RDQM.
According to IBM Docs: Switching over to a recovery node, they suggest a conname list.
Provided that you have defined your channels with a list of alternative connection names, specifying your primary and secondary queue managers, then your applications will automatically connect to the new primary queue manager.
Of course, you might have a different process for your DR experience, such as changing the hostname's IP address to point to the new primary - i.e. something outside of MQ.
Cheers,
Morag

Subject: DR RDQM Floating IP?
I have been reading about DR RDQM in the IBM MQ 9.2 Documentation and i cannot find a reference to how clients connect to the DR instance should it be made primary. Is there a Floating IP option or do client use a conname with a host:port list as in the case of a Multi Instance installation.
What's best practice?
