  • 1.  Download Path does not work in msedge

    There is a download in msedge browser, I set it manully in setting and it works by manualy download.
    But, when IBM RPA run it using the element ID, the download path will be directed to below path

    C:\Users\221030672\AppData\Local\IBM Robotic Process Automation\downloads
    and the "Show downloads menu when a download starts" can not be disabled.

    I debug it and found that IBM RPA will set the download path automaticlly to C:\Users\221030672\AppData\Local\IBM Robotic Process Automation\downloads
    Is there any advice how to fix this issue?

    Hi Yan,

    If you really want to use the customized download path, you have to enable the "Load user profile" parameter in the Start Browser command. Just beware that when enabling this parameter you have to close all other browser windows of the target browser.

    Vinicius,  Thanks your support. I test it and found that I must close Chrome, otherwise it will start the chrome not edge. And it shows "Fail to start Edge navigator" error. I closed chrome, and then it can start, but some functions failed. This is a select option, thank you again.

    Hey Yan,

    I will also add that IBM RPA does have a Wait Download Command. This will allow you to wait for the download to finish, provide it a name, and specify which directory to save the file after downloading.
