    1. echoin sends a copy of the data to the called map whereas handlein sends the memory location of the data. In theory this improves performance but in any tests I've run its hard to spot.
    2. not really comparing eggs with eggs here. dblookup allows a sql query to be run against a database. dbselect is just the label name wtx assigns to a set of data in the default type tree created by the database designer. It has no function itself.
    3. command server allows the single shot execution of a map driven by a command engine such as dos.
    event server is the wtx command engine that allows triggering of maps against events that occur (time events, files in a directory, message on a queue) and the handling of the resources required when many maps are active at one time. You always get command server but event server is an option - althouh I'd guess >90% of places use it.
    4. they are effectiley the same. Its just the branding name of the parent company at the time of distribution.
