In eConfig, sales can add 4 ENZ0 into 1 CEC E1080, but from Redbook only support 3 ENZ0, why ?

its mentioned in the IBM Power E1080 Systems Redbook "You can connect up to four I/O expansion drawer features ENZ0 per node"

    https://www.redbooks.ibm.com/redpapers/pdfs/redp5649.pdf

but right after system announcement earlier, in e-config we were able to only add 3x ENZO and needed RPQ to add the fourth IO enclosure ENZ0.  i don't think we need RPQ anymore for fourth ENZ0.

You are right.. maybe Redbook needs an update. anyways on IBM Power E1080 Datasheet correctly mentions up to Four PCIe I/O  expansion drawers on a single node system without mentioning the PCI-Gen.

Probably it was covered in Redbook which I was part of.

The easiest answer is - there were limitations at the time when the Redbook was published.  Newer firmware release, new capabilities are added.

This is one of the issues with Redbooks, these publications are very often outdated at the time when official published, and updates are down sporadically.
