We've run into the same questions with Tririga. It handles basic attachments fine, but once you start dealing with big volumes across thousands of assets, it can feel a bit cramped. Search and retrieval get slower, and the structure isn't always great for long term document control.
A lot of teams I've worked with ended up pairing Tririga with an ECM that's built for heavy lifting. Something like Dokmee has been a solid option for us because it handles bulk files, retention rules, and metadata way better, then you just link documents back into Tririga. That combo keeps the load off the core system while making everything easier to find.
Curious what others have done, especially with portfolios your size.

Subject: Document Management Functionality
I would be interetsed in hearing others experience in using Tririga for Document Management, specifically in relation to managing files assocaited with active assets e.g. as-built files from construction handover, lease contracts assoicated with properties, equipment manuals amongst others.
If you are using it to manage large volumes of documents how does it compare to other systems, or have you integrated with an ECM solution?
If so which solution have you integrated with?
Is there a limitation on volume of data that can be managed or is it limitless, and/or does it affect performance in any way?
With a portfolio of 4,000+ buildings, it is a significant volume of information and would be keen to learn from others experience in this area.
