  • 1.  dnf Illegal instruction

    Hello team,

    after a few days of successfully running dnf in AIX 7.3, now I get an error after I successfully uninstalled the patrol rpm:

    /:#dnf update -d9
timer: config: 2 ms
DNF version: 4.2.17
Command: dnf update -d9
Installroot: /
Releasever: 7.3.1.1
cachedir: /var/cache/dnf
Base command: update
Extra commands: ['update', '-d9']
os-release file not found
os-release: falling back to basic User-Agent: missing NAME or VERSION_ID
Illegal instruction​

    How can I solve this? And why did it happen...?

    error found...
    The RPM database was corrupted and I had to fix it as described in:

    I had to do the same today. 
    There is definitely something occurring with these updates, and it seems to be related to openssl updates, but I cannot prove it yet :-)
