  • 1.  dmpmqcfg - does it work with different version QMs?

    Hi,

    I tried to execute dmpmqcfg (MQ V 7.5) remote to backup of the QM configurations. Command works fine with MQ V7* QMs. but not getting any error or result while connecting MQ V6 QMs. did anyone experience this situation?

    Please let me know if anyone has workaround .

    Could you show the error you received?

    I suspect for such old queue managers (V6) you should be using the saveqmgr tool that was the pre-cursor to dmpmqcfg.

    Alternatively there are vendor tools that do the same job and support all versions.

    unfortunately, i am not getting any error and return code was 0.

    I used saveqmgrc and was successfully able to take backup. thanks a lot.
