Difference between flow service and transformers?

    Hi,

    Could any one of you please provide me the differences between a flow service and a transformer?

    I know this information

    1 single thread will be created if it is a flow service, multiple threads will be created for transformers.
    2. Performance is better when using transformers.

    If any one provides more info than mentioned above would be much appreciated.
