Everything appeared to work smoothly and brilliantly, until the system was rebooted, now none of the volume groups can be varied on, and none of the filesystems can be mounted etc.. The volumegroups give errors like;

    0516-013 varyonvg: The volume group cannot be varied on because
    there are no good copies of the descriptor area.
    and when you try to remove a logical device you get an error like;

    0516-070 lqueryvg: LVM system call found an unaccountable
    internal error.

    I do know that after the symclone, the PVIDs from the cloned disks were showing up on the new system (thus an lslv -l <device> would show a bunch of PVIDs not hdisk3, 4, 5, etc..).

    This is an IBM 595 running VIO btw. Any help / input would be helpful.

    Thanks.

    Did you wait long enough after the symclone?
    Did you run the cfgmgr after that and then the powermt config cmds?
    Are cloned LUNs accessible for you (the dd, readvgda etc.)?
