    Hello,

First, I'm not this is the right way to enter a question. But, I don't see any other way to ask a question. My question is about the Docker version required by Codewind in VScode.

I installed the Codewind extension successfully but it didn't recognize the Docker version that's installed on my MacOS, which is Docker Desktop Version 2.2.0.4 (43472). It's also Docker Engine 19.03.8. However, Codewind in VScode still requires to install Docker.

If I go ahead to install Docker, would it be conflicted with my existing Docker Desktop? Can Codewind recognize Docker Desktop and work with this version? This version of Docker works with other extension in VScode, like Blockchain Platform.

Thanks in advance for any advice or insights!

    Hello Thanh,

Your version of Docker Desktop is good and pretty up to date!

When you said, "However, Codewind in VScode still requires to install Docker.", did you mean Codewind extension wanted to install Docker containers like the screenshot here?

If yes, these are Docker containers required to run the Codewind tool. This will not interfere with your other Docker containers or tools using Docker.
If no, maybe your VS Code is in a different PATH than your Docker? See GitHub issue post https://github.com/eclipse/codewind/issues/1682#issuecomment-572649328

Let us know, if this resolved your issue.

For future reference, asides from using IBM community forums, you can also reach out to us on Codewind's open chat forum at Mattermost - https://mattermost.eclipse.org/eclipse/channels/eclipse-codewind. We are pretty active all day on our channels. Please head over to codewind.dev, for other modes of communication.

    Thank you for using Codewind!

    Hello Thanh,

Your Docker Desktop version is good and is pretty up to date.

When you said, "However, Codewind in VScode still requires to install Docker.", did you mean Codewind prompted you to install Docker containers like in the screenshot below?

If yes, Codewind requires to pull down Docker images to run the Codewind extension/tool as a Docker container. This does not impact any other Docker containers or extensions using Docker.
If no, your VS Code probably in a different PATH than your Docker? Pls checkout the GitHub issue comment - https://github.com/eclipse/codewind/issues/1682#issuecomment-572649328
